Small fired stands for oil lamps, no slipping. Woven on a pit loom by two people working opposite each other, which is why a length like this takes a full day and a half to make. Cotton throughout, no synthetic blend, so it breathes in the Colombo humidity and dries fast on the line.
Because the cloth is dyed in lot rather than printed to order, a piece you buy next season may sit slightly lighter or deeper than this one. If you are matching two pieces for a set, order them together and we will pull from the same roll.
Care. Rinse with water only, no detergent or soap. Air dry fully before storing.
Between sizes? Take the smaller one for woven cotton — it relaxes about 2 cm across the wear. Made to measure is available on any piece in this room; ask the shop.
Repeat customer here. The handloom stuff lasts, which is the whole argument.
Photographs do not do the dye justice. Wore it twice already and the fit held up after a hand wash.
